See Light in a Whole New Way
Explore colour, reflection and optical science with the PrismLab™ Optical Prism Cube. This compact K9 glass prism lets curious minds observe how RGB light is reflected, transmitted and recombined through its internal surfaces.
Small enough to hold between your fingertips, it turns complex principles of physics into a fascinating hands-on experience for students, educators and science enthusiasts aged 14+.
Discover What Happens Inside the Light
Unlike a traditional triangular prism, PrismLab™ uses internal dichroic surfaces to interact with red, green and blue light. As you change the angle and direction of the light source, you can observe how different colours are reflected, transmitted and recombined inside the cube.
It is a simple, hands-on way to explore colour interaction and fundamental optics concepts that can be difficult to understand from diagrams alone.
Key points
- Observe RGB light splitting and combining
- Explore reflection, transmission and colour interaction
- Compare the effects of different light angles
